Re: Nutrisystem TSV
That way, I could stay with it more. Message 7 of 27 1, Views. Message 9 of 27 Views. I have been on the program three different times. Ordered the vegetarian and so far what I've had has been tasty. My problem now with the veggies is that Eddy is demanding veggies at every meal now! Message 4 of 39 Views.
I would rather choose my own food tastes. That way, I could stay with it more. When you purchase straight from the company I think you get to choose your foods. I need to do something to lose, as I have a number of health problems and need to lose as well.
Try it, you will like it, especially with Marie putting the foods together. I hear it is beyond horrible.
Shame on Marie for peddling this unhealthy product that most people can not even get down. I lost 25 pounds 2 different times on it in the 80's. I do remember it is very salty and couldn't do it now for that reason. If you order it from Nutrisystem you can get the My Way Program where you select your own food. It does cost more when you choose your own food but that's so much better than taking whatever they decide to send you.
I think the food is good and I didn't think it was overly salty. It IS a diet, so the portions are small, but it's good and you won't go hungry. In fact you'll be eating frequently.
If you remember that it's a diet and not a five star restaurant I think you'll be pleased. If you decide to try it, best of luck! As with all weight loss programs A few years back I lost 60 lbs by doing just that I put it back on If you do a little research, and are willing to put in a little extra time in the kitchen, you can make your own "nutrisystem" meals My sister and two of my friends tried it and none of them could get past the horrible food.
If you order from their website I think they have two versions: They contain different foods with the ""fresh"" being more pleasant though still bad. I have always stayed in shape following my own eating plan which is all fresh foods. I would never eat such unhealthy food with additives such as Nuti System and Jenny Craig. My suggestion to you is Weight Watchers. All you foods are fresh not frozen and much healthier. No way would I be a slave to some company's frozen prepackaged foods.
I don't really need it that bad to subject myself to all the additives and expense, but I was wondering if it worked as well and as easy as they claim.
I did do some googling to find out what others who have tried it thought, and the reviews were about half and half. Thank you, Circles, for the Wal-Mart info, that's something to keep in mind, and thank you Gemmy for the buddy bucks offer, so nice of you! I think you may be right, Desertdi, that you could possibly create your own meals at home, and probably a lot healthier without the additives, which kinda scare me. Marie looks great, but I've always wondered how Dolly lost all her weight and has stayed so thin!
I ordered a big box of Nutrisystem from Q one time. Tried one snack item and sent it all back as I found the snack dry and tasteless.
You still have to buy groceries to be on the program, fruits, veggies, etc. Also, something about the unrefrigerated entres seemed a little gross to me.
Bulk them up with some non-starchy vegetables or a salad and you have a huge plate of food for lunch or dinner and very few calories. Add some daily fruit, light yogurt, some well-chosen treats, lots of water, keep a daily food diary to monitor your calories and stay within your allotment and viola!
I'm tired of seeing it every time I switch over to QVC. They run things into the ground so you can't stand the thought over going over to QVC! I looked at the line up and knew i would not be watching the Q Now if i watch They ran Perricone's TSV every other hour for an hour yesterday. I kept switching back and forth because there was nothing on TV. I wound up watching the Weather Channel. How much can you say about putting products on one's face? I was briefly intrigued by NutriSystem but it was mentioned that Marie lost 50 pounds in 5 months??
That's quite a weight loss in a short period of time. I can't help thinking that in addition to NutriSystem she had a personal trainer every day and that would certainly make weight loss go faster. I tried Nutrisystem and did lose weight, but the shakes for belly bloat made me feel bloated and "gassy". They did nothing to "flatten" my stomach at all. Some of the food is ok but alot of it is hard to take.
Also you can order directly from Nutrisystem and get free shipping and they do split the payments in two and they are cheaper than QVC. Marie also bought the company for that one fitness item. I cant remember the name of it. She does train and I think she is more diligent since she is speaking for Nutrisystem and doesn't want to gain any of the weight back. Just like Oprah buying stock in Weight Watchers. She said she lost 40 lbs, but she still looks on the heavy side when I just saw an ad for WW the other day.
We have to do what is best for us as far as being healthy. QVC is shoving this down our throats today. I like Marie Osmond - but I'm so sick of her doing endless commercials. She lost the weight when she was on Dancing With the Stars not from eating NutriSystem garbage food.
Then I went travelling - and I gained back more than I lost. It's NOT a good way to lose weight - because u gain it back and more once u eat regular food. It's also VERY expensive.
